I will tell you all I know gladly. It started as a stickiness, at the end of March, palms and bottoms of feet. After a few weeks those areas got sweaty. They remain about the same now. Also been sweaty on my rear end-cotton shorts stick to me if i stand up, and tend to get sweaty on front ehere leg meets crotch, both sides., Also if i bend my legs at all I sweat behind my knees and it gets sticky.

That has all been true before last Wed. when i went off the borth control pill so when i see new OBGYN this Wed she can draw a test for menopause. PCP said last week when he gave me Drysol he didnt think it was menopause. I have what seems like a hot flash more often, but at night it seens like i only sweat from my lower back. This has also been since end of March. And same time i am not sleeping nearly as well. The sticky seems to go away at night i wake up not sticky then it starts. My feet also feel very cold even if i put warm socks on, and are cold to the touch.they feel sweaty constanty and usually feel damp to the touch. Everything is absolutely symmetrical.

No new meds, except my Lyrica ran out and my PCP wouldn't refill right away....my neck doctor did....been taking since 2009, ran out begore all the stickiness/sweatiness began, i got back on it May 3. I had hoped maybe that would help but no. Last Monday the rheumatologist gave me Nabumetone.

In January i had C5-C6 ACDF. Pain in R arm/shoulder since last May not resolving. I am told its due to the neck disc that was herniated. Since last year (starting in March) i went from 194 to 126 (low on 3/21/17) now back up to 139 lbs, saw new endocrinologist March 2017 who ran bloodctests after PCP did in Feb re:weight loss, blood test for celiac positive, diagnosed by biopsy 3/30.

LAST A1C 3/7 was 9.8, i think due to celiac-it has been better. Was 8.1 last August. Control has been easier since celiac dianosis. Thyroid was normal in Feb.

I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder and have been on meds since 2006. Xanax has been cut to 1/2 mg at bed and same when i wake up and cant sleep again. I was not able to return to work after neck FMLA in March and was let go, i am
Not usually too anxious this days.

I never have smoked and rarely drink. Then its one glass of wine or if im out, 1 XXXXXXX As i said my sleep pattern stinks.....before all the sticky/sweaty started i was sleeping about 10 hours, usually straight. Now i take my ambien and wait an hour, usually go to sleep and sleep about 3.5-5 hours, am awake for some time and sleep 3-5.5 more on and off then, neber all at once.

This is everything i can think of but will answer any medical questions. I really want to get to the bottom of this......its driving me nuts.

Thanks,
xxxxx

Brief Answer:
Hi have to adopt multi modality approach to combat hyperhidrosis .

Detailed Answer:
Dear Kris
I went through your query very deeply regarding all the parameters of associated elements of your body systems.
* My conclusion for diagnosis is mixed type of primary and secondary
hyperhidrosis .
* Reasons to add secondary component are - pre menopause period - diabetes
- occasional alcohol intake - some psychiatric drugs - unknown stress which
support the focal component .
* As it is complex multi modal mediated phenomenon the cure is not that
straight & everyone is not getting cured also , I elaborate salient guidelines
for your better recovery till maximum possible levels .
@ choose right clothes for always which are loose , natural fabrics cotton ones
allowing proper air circulation .
@ keep thyroid levels under control (not required to take repeat test at present)
@ still better control of Hb1Ac is mandatory .
@ avoid exposure to excess heat / excess cold as well .
@ highly recommended to quit occasional alcohol also .
@ anti perspiration agents in form of spray / roll on / lotion help to some level.
@ avoid stress / anger till every edge by means of meditations & YOGA .
@ sound sleep of 7-8 hours highly recommended .
@ fresh air walking to rejuvenate body cells with enough ozone for 30 minutes
on daily basis .
@ tub bath for 30 minutes daily in epsom salt & added lavender oil ( if possible
morning & additionally before sleeping at night )
@ maintain hydration with plenty of liquids .
@ balanced nutritious diet taking into account for celiac .
@ avoid more oily / spicy / non vegetarian stuffs / garlic / onion / chilly till
possible .
@ Be Positive attitude in life is utmost important in such conditions where even
medical science has also limits , keep on trying the things faithfully and you
will get best results a day , have patience .
@ benefits of Iontophoresis , Botox , surgery of removal of certain sweat glands
for selected areas are to be considered according to the individual case study
hope this helps you .

Brief Answer:
Drysol at higher concentration, yes, do consult the Dermatologist for more assistance in this regard

Detailed Answer:
Dear Kris, welcome,

* Keep using Drysol ( preferable with 12% or higher concentration )

* Please note that it is not popping up out of anywhere, it has definite mechanism underlying, as
discussed earlier primary & secondary hyperhidrosis.

* Making many more life style modifications will help you to sleep well,

I am not recommending you confinement in house, but till possible avoid
exposure to extreme heats & whenever needed use dry, loose, cotton, white
clothes till possible ( to get less absorption of sun rays )

* Yes, I do agree wth your PCP, in seeking an advice of a Dermatologist, for further assistance towards a more positive outcome

Thanks,
Regards.
