Brief Answer:
ER visit is not necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Please check her heart rate and blood pressure. High heart rate (over 100) and/or low blood pressure are alarming symptoms. In such case she should visit ER.
ER should be also visited in case of abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, vomiting, pale skin, breathing problems, low amount of urine.
Otherwise she may wait for her doctor appointment.
Such symptom can be caused by gastrointestinal infection, inflammatory bowels disease or even a colon cancer.
At the age of 50 the risk of colon cancer significantly rises. That is why colonoscopy will be the most important test. Stool test, blood work and abdominal ultrasound should be also done.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
