Question: hi ,
My name is XXXX from XXXXXXX My mother is suffering with positional vertigo, I had already consulted doctors, Currently my mother getting spinning sensation while sleeping also. Currently my mother using betavert 16 mg for vertigo. please suggest me if you know very good doctor in hyderabad/bangalore for vertigo treatment

1. BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo) is very common at her age, accounting for 20-40% of peripheral vertigo.

2. I am assuming that her diagnosis is established beyond doubt.

3. In BPPV, treatment includes the Brandt-Daroff exercises, Semont's Maneuver, Epley's maneuver and these usually suffice, Medication is not necessary.

4. If she cannot do these liberatory maneuvers, other aids such as the DizzyFix and the Omniax are available.

5. Any ENT Specialist with a Vertigo Clinic will be able to re-confirm the diagnosis and treat BPPV effectively.
