Brief Answer:
Phimosis- circumcision- rule out diabetes

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for your query. Read and understood your problem.

When the extra skin (prepuce) does not allow the head (glans) to come out, it is called phimosis.
I think the erection or trial to force the foreskin back / masturbation or sexual intercourse might have caused the cuts on the tip of the foreskin.

Is there cut on the tip of the head also ?

I would advise you the following:
Get the routine blood and urine checked , particularly the blood sugar to rule out diabetes.
Consult a General Surgeon / Urologist.
Take treatment of antibiotics as there is a cut; and discuss the possible treatment.
Actual examination of the part can tell us whether just a dilatation will be sufficient or you need a formal surgery called circumcision.
In circumcision, the extra skin is removed to permanently expose the glans so that it can be cleaned regularly, helps in normal sexual functions and chances of infection of the area are not there.

I hope this answer helps you to take a proper decision.
Please feel free to ask for more if you need to.
You may please provide any further information.

Brief Answer:
Circumcision is the best option

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
It is good to know that you are not diabetic and there is no cut on the glans.
Antibiotic will just help for not allowing infection in the cut in the skin, it will not help in any way for avoiding the circumcision.

If the marriage is planned in a couple of months, I would strongly suggest for circumcision. This will help for a normal sexual function.

Dilatation: by putting in a instrument the foreskin is forced to be stretched so that the glans can be pushed out. There is more chance of further narrowing of the tip of the skin opening due to further fibrosis on healing. This may need repeated dilatation, is painful and if this fails , circumcision is the only best option. Dilatation is best tried in small children only.

You can certainly talk to your Family Doctor or call the team at healthcaremagic, they will be glad to assist you.

All the best for the most proper treatment .

Is circumcision a painful process? How long will it take to recover.. Pls advice

Answered by Dr. T Chandrakant (7 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Not painful- take upto 5 days of healing

Detailed Answer:
Circumcision is not a painful procedure at all.
This can be performed under a local anesthesia (injection given in the penis locally) or under a spinal anesthesia (injection is given in the spinal canal) or under a general anesthesia (injections only via a intra-venous route).

The choice is of the Surgeon, anesthetist or you decide about the route.
IF performed well, it may take only a few days for the healing to occur, usually by 5 th day everything is healed well.
