Suggest Treatment For Persistent Tinnitus And Headaches

default
Posted on Tue, 6 Oct 2015
Question: Hi,
I have been suffering from Tinnitus(Ringing in ears) since long time. I would give you history how it started.
It actually started since I had a cracker burst close to my ears during my childhood(I was around 13 or 14) but as I grew up it was not much noticeable. But few years back there was another cracker burst close to my ear and since then it emerged. but slowly it decreased. Recently (around 5 years back) I had a severe Chicken Pox and after that ringing in ears has been very loud.

I even when to ENT doc , did a hearing test. I was told my hearing capability is reduced too much(much like a 60-65 year old) and since my ear muscles have become weak this condition would persist entire life. Since then I have been living with it and have got much accustomed to it.

Please let me know if there is any treatment for this. It has been troubling me a lot recently. I am not able to concentrate and even causes headaches sometimes. Even my hearing capability is reduced which sometimes affect my day to day work.

People have suggested me to take homeopathic or Ayurvedic treatment for the same. but I am not what is good for me.

Brief Answer:
Go for hearing aid

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I have gone through your query; it suggest that most probably you may be suffering from the sensorineural hearing due to the viral infection( chicken pox) and it is the cause of your tinnitus.

To relieve from the tinnitus you may go for the hearing aid but for better management or to rule out the other disease, please send me the report of your hearing test.

Wish you good health
