Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I read your message and understood your problem.

I guess you had a viral infection 9 months ago. Usually, viral infections last with days and no more than 4 weeks.

It is possible that you have gained the same viral infection for several times which has made you think that the infection has never gone.

Another thing that I would like to mention is that there may be some triggers in the air that irritate your throat. Air pollution, allergies even some foods and drinks may irritate your throat. Acid reflux may cause coughing too.

Vitamin C and oils you have taken are good to boost the immune system and fight the virus.

Take lots of fluids and take pain killers when needed. Take a lot of rest and avoid spicy or crunchy food.

Avoid close contact with sick people, be careful in public places when others sneeze or cough, and maintain a good personal hygiene. Wash hands often.

As the symptoms have persisted for 9 months now, I advise to run a culture of throat swab in order to exclude strep infection and candida.

If you are also having reflux, an upper endoscopy is recommended for further evaluation and proper diagnosis.

Hope it was helpful. Let me know if you have further queries.
