Suggest Treatment For Persistent Running Nose

Question: 4 days on runny nose, but nose not stuffed up. Lining on nose itchy and inflamed...80 percent of that is left nostril. Sneezing...but less today. Is time of year I tend to get allergies. When sleep, dries out.
1. Is this likely allergies or a cold. 2. What to do?

Both allergy as well as a flu infection can present with runny nose, itching and inflammation. However since you don't complaint of fever, body ache and headache, I will consider allergy more likely than infection in this case. However it is important to physically examine the area before we conclude the cause.

In this circumstance, I will suggest you try steam inhalation and antihistamine (zyrtec or nyquil) and see if you feel better. In case symptoms persist or worsens, you should see a doctor.
