    Suggest treatment for persistent headaches

Question: I have a headache which started at the back of the neck and now moves up both sides of my head to the top. It is worse when I am lying down and seems to move down when I am standing. Have had it for 4 days. it began after working in the garden with my head down for over an hour.

Changes in blood pressure may cause such symptoms, so, it is necessary to monitor your blood pressure for a couple of days and in different body position (laying, sitting and standing).

If abnormal values, you should discuss with your Doctor about further steps in treatment.

If normal values, headaches due to physical effort are a probable explanation and should subside with time.
