Posted on Fri, 29 Jan 2016
Question: my husband has severe headaches when he lies down, he is then in agonizing pain, during the day it is not so bad. He takes paracetemol, but he wonders what is happening? This is after laser surgery on the eye, which was 3 weeks ago.
Looking forward to your answer, I will appreciate it.

Brief Answer:
Post surgical complication. get evaluated for eye, if normal then wait

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. With history of recent lser surgery of the eye followed by headaches, i can say with quite confidence that these two are correlated and efforts to find out other causes can wait.

This headache may be the sequelae of the procedure and may resolve slowly and gradually on its own once the healing process in the eye operated on completes. However you should get the eye evaluated to make sure there is no complication there. Once that ruled out, wait and see with use of symptomatic treatment like tylenol etc for headache relief would be the best policy.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and your husband and don't forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
