No vomiting and nausea. I was given paracetamol tablets and some antibiotics. And there's no triggering factor as such but it isquite persistent. The headache is mostly in back of the head starting from neck. Sometimes I experience burning sensation in my back and neck.
as I mentioned earlier also, the headache I think was developed 4 weeks ago while I was getting rabipur doses following an unprovoked stray dog bite on November 23. Initially, I thought it was some mild reaction of rabipur ...but its almost
two months n headache is still there...I also experience stomach upsets like loose motion n constipation sometimes. Note: headache is mostly in back of head including neck pain ....Sometimes I can't determine whether it is head or neck which is aching. Please help

Brief Answer:
Take alternative pain killer combinations.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for sharing more information.

From all these facts that you shared here, it is more likely to be having tension type of headache and it usually relieved by taking over the counter appropriate pain killers and at the same time eliminating the triggering factor or precipitating factors (if there is any like gastric problem, eye strain or long working hours etc)

But I will not think about this headache due to Rabipur injection side effect.

Also,Tension headache may last for few hours to some days occasionally depending on triggering or precipitating factor.

Therefore, in my advice, you should take alternative pain killer combinations like Tab.Ultracet (acetaminophen and tramadol combination) with muscle relaxant like metaxalone (Brand name:Skelaxin) if you did not get relieved from paracetamol alone.

Anti-anxiety medication (ex.Recita forte) would also be helpful to reduce stress level and if you have not adequate sleep but you will need prescription from some local doctor or GP for muscle relaxant and anti-anxiety drugs.

Take antacid which suits you like Pantoprazole 40 mg twice daily for stomach upset.

Take plenty of fluids (simple water or lemon water) with lots of fruit juices (apple juice and sapota milkshake would be best) for next 3 to 5 days. It would also be important to maintain proper hydration and electrolyte balance which in turn will help to reduce headache.

Avoid oily/spicy/fatty food or even routine diet and take bland diet only for initial few days.

We may expect to see improvement within 3 to 5 days and if not then it would be better to see physician or Neuro-physician for further evaluation.

Hope this help and let me know if you have more questions.

Sir, I forgot to mention that I also experience a feeling of lump in throat while swallowing saliva n it irritates a lot. However, it doesn't cause any problems in eating or drinking.
I went for CBC and ECG tests all normal. BP is also normal. Due to headache and neck pain I am unable to concentrate in anything as my mind is stick to the pains.

Brief Answer:
Take symptomatic treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the reply.

If this throat irritation is not troublesome then there is no need to worry.

However,ENT examination will rule out any underlying pathology if problem persists.

For persistent headache, you may take above mentioned symptomatic treatment as we discussed.
