Posted on Fri, 24 Mar 2017
Question: I am living in New XXXXXXX from last 6-7 months. In beginning, I haven't suffered from hair fall and dandruff but from last 2 months i am having dandruff and so hair fall. I am using tree tea oil (3-4 drops)along with coconut oil once a day from 13 feb. There is a little bit decrease in hair fall but not in dandruff and i can feel little bit itching also. I have stopped using chemical containing shampoo. Also taking protein in sufficient amount. What should i do for this dandruff ? There is no lice problem. Not any other medical problem as well. I am also not sure if the scalp is too dry (it should not be) or it is dandruff (or whatever). Please help.

Brief Answer:
Ketoconazole shampoo and lotion containing beclomethasone & clotrimazole

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
I have gone through your complaints.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to use Ketoconazole shampoo twice weekly and apply a lotion containing combination of beclomethasone and clotrimazole on the affected itchy areas of the scalp twice daily for 2 weeks.
Once the itching reduces you can stop the lotion but continue with the shampoo.

Brief Answer:
Shampoo and lotion safe, tea tree oil not much beneficial

Detailed Answer:
Yes this lotion and shampoo is safe to use and won't increase your dandruff and hair fall.
There is no need to use tea tree oil as it won't be of much benefit.
Coconut oil should also be avoided as it will increase your dandruff.
