Suggest Treatment For Persistent Fever, Sore Throat And Stuffy Nose

Question: on wednesday i started feeling sick and i started getting a very heavy stuffy nose and chills and some fever i think but i am not sure because i did not take my temperature. on saturday i started feeling better, no stuffy nose no headache and then suddenly a couple hours after i stared developing a sore throat. the sore throat is mild and not getting worse but now my nose is not runny but i cannot smell anything. did i get a second cold after the first one or a bacteria? should i see a doctor?

I understand your concern and situation.

According to history it appears that you are having upper respiratory tract infection due to virus which has secondary bacterial infection now. I would suggest you to visit a physician and get evaluated and get test done like throat swab for gram staining and culture sensitivity testing and complete haemogram. We can guide you antibiotics accordingly.You must use chlorhrxidine gargle6-8 times per day, cetrozine antihistamines once ,Sudafed if stuffy nose and drink plenty of water. Eat protein rich balanced diet. Drink hot soups. Take adequate rest for few days.Nothing to worry it is self limiting illness resolves in a week.
