Question: my granddaughter said she has been throwing up after every meal except when she eats very small amount of food. For instance a piece of toast, fruits etc. This has been going on for about two weeks and she claims she only have a fever at night. This has not stopped her from going to school. Her mother passed from cushings? A cancer in her glans, in 2010 at the age of 31yrs.

Brief Answer:
Possibilities could be GER or anorexia nervosa

Detailed Answer:
Hi..... I understand your concern.

By the information you have provided me I think of these possibilities -

1. Gastroesophageal reflux.

2. Anorexia nervosa.

Consideration -

1. Throwing up of food immediately after feeding is a sign of gastroesophageal reflux. The kids will not be able to eat to the full and there will be associated weight loss. There might be belching and pain while eating.

2. Keeping in mind her age, I am considering the possibility of anorexia nervosa, which is more psychological than physical.
