Brief Answer:
Colonoscopy and stool tests have to be done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Viral diarrhea lasts few days and disappears without any treatment. Yours seems to be caused by something more serious. Generally every diarrhea which lasts more than 48 hours should be tested with stool tests. Your diarrhea can be caused by bacteria. Especially if you have had blood or mucus in it.

At your age, any stool patter change should be checked with possible large intestine tumor. Please note that diarrhea can be a symptom of partial bowels obstruction due to colon cancer.

I suggest you to consult your doctor (or better gastroenterologist). Stool test, stool culture test and blood work should be done at first. No matter if this is infection or not, colonoscopy has to be done.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
