Brief Answer:
I don't feel you need homeopathy.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I understand you been suffering for 4-5 days. Cough from bronchitis takes some time to heal. At this point I would like to know if you had fever along with your complaints. You mentioned about taking Crocin, but wanted to confirm if you had fever also?
Also I would like to understand the nature of cough you have had - Is the cough associated with sputum? If yes what is the quantity of sputum, color and if it's smells bad? Do you have chest pain and breathing difficulties with cough?

I request you to provide the aforementioned details. It will allow me to guide you better.

Hello Doctor ,

Yes I have fever with cold and cough . I am taking Crocin Advance ( 500 mg ) for the same reasons .

Nature of Cough : Cough was associated with yellow sputum initially . Now after starting the Antibiotic and benadryl -E it is dry cough . There is Breathing difficulty from right side of nose . Sputum only comes out of nodes or mouth if I forced to take it out .

Smell of sputum - I am not sure as my nose is completely blocked for senses as of now .

There is no chest pain . However regular headache is there .

Also dont feel like to eat anything and a lot of dryness in body now ( Lips , nose and throat are very dry ) .

Brief Answer:
Antibiotic change if fever persists.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Are you still running fever. If yes, I would suggest changing antibiotics.

If you have no fever, then I will suggest steam inhalation and Syp Tus DX 5m three times a day. Dryness is probably secondary to cough syrup that you used. It may continue to last even with Tus DX syrup. It will improve after medication is stopped.

In the meanwhile, I also encourage you drink plenty of fluids.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you still have fever or have any other questions.

Brief Answer:
Continue Benadryl DR / Tus DX

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

You had mentioned Benadryl E which has expectorant properties. Benadryl DR and TusQ DX are both cough suppressants. If you are not on Benadryl DR and not Benadryl - E, you can continue with it.

In addition to the cough medications, I will insist you do steam inhalation. It will provide additional benefits - both for blocked nose (congested sinuses) as well as cough (treating post nasal drip). Avoid spicy food.

You may also try Otrivin nasal drops (nasal decongestants) - 2 drops into the blocked nose at night followed by steam inhalation. However it should not be used for more than 5 days.

As per your description, you seem to be dealing with sinusitis as well as bronchitis. Both these condition resolves when treatment is adequate. However at times due to secondary bacterial infection they may worsen. So keep a close watch on the progress. If you feel they are getting bad - both the cough as well as headache, do not hesitate to contact your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query.
