Just to confirm- With PN you mean Peripheral Neuropathy, right?

It has many causes and depending if your doctors have found a cause or not, there is treatment of the underlying disease; and alleviation of symptoms related to the illness. With Gabapentin, apparently you are taking the treatment that alleviate the symptoms. Is this maybe because your doctors have not found the cause of it...I don't know.
