Question: Hello Sir/madam, I am suffering from penis infection, initially I went to doctor and he suggested to take anti-biotic, and informed me that this infection is due to uncontrolled Diabetis, I am diabetic. Though infection cured for 2 weeks, again I had the infection, I am unable to retract my fore skin, and it is cracking too.

In last 2 months, this infection had came 3 times. Now it is making me sad as it is completely not cured. Is there any permanent solution for this ??

I am not able to have contact with my wife for past 2 to 3 months because of this. We are married for 5 years and we dont have kids, and laprascopy had been planned for her, which is delayed due to my infection, because, after laprascopy, doctor wold give us one month time only and then directly will start IVF.

Please help me with some remedies. Which can per

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

You seem to have a condition called phimosis and is present in 1/3 men with uncontrolled diabetes.

Uncontrolled blood sugar can sometimes present this way. First I suggest you to check for other contributory factors for phimosis like urinary infection. If that is not there you are a very good candidate for simple excision of the foreskin.
I do not think any medicines will help you further.

Unless you are cured of this phimosis you cannot penetrate deeply for a successful pregnancy.

This surgery is called cirucumscision and is very safe and commonly done with local anesthesia. It hardly takes 5 minutes and I think this is the permanent solution. Even if you tide over with the difficult temporarily with steroid creams you may have this problem sooner. You can continue your other medicines and should be on insulin only.

My suggestion should be discussed with your doctor. Please close our discussion if you do not have any more queries.

Hi Mam,

Thanks for your reply.

I need few more clarifications.

1.Since I am diabetic, is there any procedure to be followed before the operation for the Circumcision, like, Sugar level should be under control for one or two weeks before the operation.

2. Will there be any blood loss during or after the operation.

3. How long will it take to cure once the Circumcision is done.

4. What are the other things I need to get prepared before I get operated.

5. How much does it gets charged for this procedure ? in XXXXXXX especially.

Thanks in advance for your answers,

Ans: Since it is done under local anesthesia, there is no hard rule but it is better to have it under 140mg/dl. Some surgeons are ok over it as well but healing can be problem if it is more.

2. Will there be any blood loss during or after the operation.
Ans: Minimal to NO blood loss which will not affect you anyway. Clamping is done before they excise the skin to minimize the loss.

3. How long will it take to cure once the Circumcision is done.
Ans: 10 days to two weeks depending on blood glucose level and microvasculature

4. What are the other things I need to get prepared before I get operated.

Ans: Your doctor will explain

5. How much does it gets charged for this procedure ? in XXXXXXX especially.

10000 to 20000/- based on centre and surgeon.
