Suggest Treatment For Penile Candidiasis

default
Posted on Fri, 6 Feb 2015
Question: I recently had candidiasis on the head of my penis (burning/sore). Used an anti fungal (as directed) and it went away timely and as expected. At about the same time, I noticed a line of bumps at the edge of the pubic region (not near or on penis) -- just at the hair line. They are not "blisters" and there is nothing open (simple red spots really). They don't itch and aren't painful. They appeared to improve from soap and water but it's been a week and they haven't fully disappeared. Any risk?

Brief Answer:
Might go to invasive candidiasis if not treated properly

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir!

Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

I understand your concern.Penile candidiasis generally cures after using proper anti yeast drugs.Generally no post cure risks are associated with it.

It generally does not get cured completely or slowly in people with low immunity or diabetes.I would ask you to check your fasting blood glucose to look for diabetes.

Please do not use any soap or chemical which could cause more irritation to it and cause delay in recovery. After washing, dry the penis carefully to deprive the fungus of the damp conditions that help it to thrive.Wear loose-fitting cotton underpants to help keep the skin and penis dry and cool.

Hope this helps.Feel free to ask more.
