Posted on Wed, 1 Mar 2017
Question: I am having paresthesia (hypersensitivity to light touch) on my left mid back, side, and left middle abdomen. Has lasted the last few days. Prior to that I had mid back muscle tightness but that is better now.
No rash, no discoloration, no pain with active movement or muscle contractions.

Brief Answer:
Probably pinched nerve.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Paresthesia indicates nerve(s) involvement.

Pinched nerve(s) of upper lumbar levels or lower thoracic levels should be considered in your case, since there are no signs to point out towards shingles.

Conditions to consider include herniated disc disease, degerative discs disease, spondylosis of spine, etc.

It is necessary to get evaluated by a spine Specialist and by imaging such MRI of spine in order to understand better your condition.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards.
