Brief Answer:
Allergies

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble with your tonsils. Since your doctor does not think you have tonsillitis then my thoughts would be toward allergies. I constant irritation from an allergen can cause lymph node enlargement and reaction of which the tonsils are part of that system So if you have sighnificant allergies you can get throat and tonsillary pain with irritation and white patches of the tonsillar crypts. I would recommend for treatment a course of antihistamines like Loratadine or Fexofenadine. Also frequent salt water gargles to sooth the throat and wash away any debris from your tonsils.

In summary
1. Allergies
2. Antihistamines like loratadine or fexefenadine
3. Salt water gargles
