Suggest Treatment For Painful And Stiff RA
voltaren gel, capsaicin-- these can be used 4 times a day
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
There are some topical options such as voltaren gel or capsaicin. These can be applied up to 4 times daily.
There are NSAIDS that are safer for the stomach such as celebrex. A combination of the nsaids and the tylenol can be used to see if the two types of meds working together might be helpful.
Other than the NSAIDs and tylenol, the other pain medication options would be the opiates such as codeine, tramadol, hydrocodone, oxycodone etc.
Physiotherapy, to strengthen the muscles around the joints can also be helpful as well
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
any opionions on a chiropractor at her age and weakened bones ??
trained physiotherapist would be better than chiropractor
Sorry about the delayed reply
Physiotherapy to strengthen the muscles in the joints may be the better option compared to a chiropractor at this stage.
Physio is done by a trained physiotherapist. It is possible that she may only need to attend a few sessions then the physiotherapist can show her exercises that can be done at home.
It would be best to be seen by a physiotherapist before doing any exercises because a physical assessment is needed first to determine what would be the best regimen
