Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome back on HCM!

I am glad to hear from you again!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to chostochondritis exacerbation or to a stretched muscle.

The fact that your symptoms are modulated by body movement is typical of musculo-skeletal disorder or inflammation.

As a cardiologist, I would like to reassure you that your symptoms are not related to any cardiac disorder. So, relax and don't worry about it!

Besides, all your performed cardiac tests have shown a normal heart function and structure and have excluded coronary artery disease.

Coming to this point, I would recommend taking ibuprofen three times daily for some days. It will help against the pain. Massage of the area can be helpful, especially considering stretched muscle (it wouldn't help in chostochondritis exacerbation).

Anyway, I am sure that you will improve soon spontaneously. There is no need to perform any additional tests.

I would just recommend avoiding straining physical activity in the next day. Light physical activity can be helpful.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

I remain at your disposal, whenever you have any other questions!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri

Hello again!

The fact that that deep breathing triggers the pain is another argument in favor of musculo- skeletal pain.

So, you have nothing to worry about!

Extra strength Tylenol will help ( it is similar to ibuprofen).

Hope to have been helpful!

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask me again!

Wishing all the best,

My opinion as follows:

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

Thank you for the additional information!

Regarding the high blood pressure, I would explain that a single high blood pressure value does not indicate uncontrolled arterial hypertension.

It may be a normal reaction of the body related to physical or emotional stress, pain or "White coat syndrome", which is explained by the fear or anxiety when consulting with the doctor.

Anyway, these spikes of blood pressure are quite normal in healthy individuals and do not need any treatment as they do not cause any harm to your body.

So, there is nothing to worry about!

I would just recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure in the next days. If your blood pressure values are within the normal ranges most of the time, there is no need to perform any additional tests or take any medication.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Let me know about everything!

Regards,

Dr. Iliri

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

I would recommend checking your blood pressure frequently during the day, in sitting position (after 10 minutes of total relax). You can stay some minutes with your eyes closed and take some deep breaths, before measuring your blood pressure.

If you do this procedure frequently during the day, you will not be anxious any more when monitoring blood pressure, because you will be accustomed at the procedure.

You should do this for an entire week, in order to be able to come into the right conclusions on your blood pressure values. It is important write all these blood pressure values in a notebook, writing also the time of measurement.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Brief Answer:
There is no need to go to the ER!

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

There is no need to go to the ER!

Your symptoms are not indicative of any serious medical condition.

So, it can wait until consulting with your GP.

I would recommend wait even a week, before consulting with your GP, so you can have enough time to closely monitor your blood pressure values and come into the right conclusions about your blood pressure trends during the day.

Wearing a blood pressure Holter monitoring could also be an option to help you monitor your blood pressure values for a prolonged time and avoid the anxiety of measuring your blood pressure values.

But, there is no urgency for such tests.

So, just relax and take some deep breaths!

Everything is going to be OK!

Regards,

Dr. Iliri
