Brief Answer:
Gastritis,to be confirmed by endoscopy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM
I am Dr Rakesh Sharma answering your query.
I can understand your concern.
If it was gall bladder,Liver or any other organ ultra sound could have detected it, so that is ruled out.
With every thing ruled out , I may label it as ,
"Gastritis, yet to be confirmed by endoscopy".
If I were your treating doctor, I would have advised you following
1.Small frequent diet.
2.Plenty of water.
3.Avoid spicy food,tea, coffee,aerated drink,and alcoholic drinks.
4. Gravity plays an important role in controlling reflux. if we lie immediately down after a large meal, food comes back into the esophagus and heartburn occurs, please avoid this.
5.pantoprazole and domperidon before meals .
6.If constipated, add mild laxative.
If not improved within a week or so I would advice him an endoscopy.
Hope you have answer to your query, if any thing else you are welcome,or you can close the question and rate the answer.
Good luck.

I eat a healthy diet, drink lots of water, do not drink alcohol or spicy food. I dont lay down after eating either and work out regularly. When i had the ultrasound the discomfort wasnt as bad as it is now. It actaulky went away and came back last week. When i saw my dr he mentioned a hyrda scan or something like that. Isnt that a special test to find gallbladder problems?

Brief Answer:
HIDA scan is better for liver and gall bladder

Detailed Answer:
Hello,again,
You may be mentioning about HIDA scan.
A cholesncintigraphy scan, also known as: hepatobiliary iminodiacetic acid (HIDA).
It is a nuclear medicine test, to see the function of hepatobiliary system.
As mentioned earlier, I would have preferred endoscopy before, HIDA.
If endoscopy results are within normal limits, then only have thought of further investigation.
Hope you have answer to your query, if any thing else you are welcome,or you can close the question and rate the answer.
Good luck.
