Question: doctor I take medication for 6 years hydrocodeina my doctor change fon nucynta but the medication I take does no take away the pain sometime throws me to the ground and can not walk till I have to go to the hospital for this problem I do not what to do with my pain I think doctors do not believe me I have though about killing my self to not suffer for this pin but not do

hi. tapentadol may not be sufficient.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, the drug nuncynta you ve been put can not possibly replane hydrocodone. You must ask your doctor to start either an opioid along with this nuncynyia( tapentadol) or add on a non opioid to your regimen. Opioid e.g. fentanyl patch, morphine tabs 10 mg 6 th hrly, or methadone 10 mg 8 th hourly. Or non opioid like aceclofenac and acetaminophen combo. You may also ask to add gabapentin 400 mg once daily to your regimen.
