Suggest Treatment For Pain Related To Miscarriage

default
Posted on Mon, 21 Apr 2014
Question: Hello, I took a percocet about 4 hours ago due to extreme pain from a miscarriage. I have been sick and coughing heavily. I cannot stop coughing, and do not smoke or any of that sort of thing. Is it ok to take a RX cough medication like Tussionex or Hycodan so I can get some sleep? I am not going to take the Percocet anymore. Please let me know.

Brief Answer: avoid all of these, you have opiod induced cough Detailed Answer: Hello mam I would suggest you to avoid pervocet, tussionex and hycodan all of them. In my opinion you probably have an element of allergic asthma which is getting precipitated by these opiod drugs so you should avoid them at any cost as these can cause severe bronchospasm too. For pain related to miscarriage you should give hot fomentation with hot water bottle and take milder analgesics. For sleep don't get struck to medicines as they tend to make patients dependent on them. For sleep induction make fix schedule for sleeping and lie down in your comfort zone without disturbance from outside after a good healthy night meal. Try these measures and have a peaceful sleep at night. Tale care and wish you the best of health.
