Brief Answer:
This has to be dealt with.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to Health Care Magic, Thanks for writing to us,

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad, I have read your question, I understand your concern and will try to help you in the best possible way.

I am sorry to know how hard this has been for you and

I am amazed to know that since one year you didn't know about the damage to your shoulder and you didn't even suspect any even causing such thing.

Taking pain killer is never a solution one would like to find the cause and treat it... treating a cause can reduce pain to much extent even if it doesn't cure it altogether.

I would suggest you to meet an orthopaedic surgeon and discuss this issue with him.

This definitely has to be corrected in order to reduce your suffering.

I can not guarantee you that your pain will be alleviated completely if this problem is corrected. But i can assure you that there will be much reduction in the level of pain you suffer from on daily basis.

So my suggestion is to meet an orthopaedic surgeon ASAP and get this corrected.

....

I Hope this answers your question, if your have more queries feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it. Wish you the best of health.

Regards,

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad.

Dear
Dr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Thank you for you recommendation. I always had thought it was in my arm but all the doctors I saw (which was many) said my pain is from my laminectomy surgery. nerve pain. They had put in a pain stimulator inside of me.. I had that for 9 months. My pain got so bad after it was in after two months I had to stop working. It was not only pain. My arm was weak. I work cash register at Corporate Costco deli for 10 years now and the repetition on the left hand was around 800 transactions a day. I thought it was the pain stimulator that was causing the pain so they took it out. They could not do a MRI because of the metal inside of me. Once that was out I was able to get what I had been asking for for over a year. Now i think i have finally found my problem. It is the shoulder not the spine. I do not like having to rely on pain meds to get through the day but I would not be able to make it with out it. So I will see an orthopedic as you recommend. Thanks for saying what I needed to hear. Something has to be done. I realize this. this pain is to much for anyone to take on a daily basis. It is also I do not want to tell my boss that i need another surgery as i have had 4 in the past three years and I think they will let me go if I tell them I need to take more time off of work for another surgery. Thanks alot. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
First meet a doctor then you will know treatment options you have.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, XXXX!

Thanks for writing back,

I know how difficult it mjust have been for you to work as a cashier specially when your arm is the main soruce of pain.

Some part of your pain might well be from your spine but there must be some part of it which is coming from shoulder.

Even if you can get rid off half the pain you are having I believe it will be a life changing this for you.

Yes it will be great if you can contact an orthopaedic surgeon soon and get his opinion obviously he will be the one with final words in this .

I know you wont like you boss to know that but always keep your health first then the job , if you are fine you will get some other job but health should come first i would say.

So if you can manage things without telling you boss that will be great otherwise telling him would be best.

But first thing here is to contact the doctor then you can procede further to treatment otpions.

Stay blessed ,

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
