Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Wrists And Numbness In The Ankles

Question: Hi last night my hands were clenched in a fist as I was sleeping and I woke up with pain in my wrists and numbness as well as pain in my ankle and body weakness .....i was a little dizzy and had a little headache what can this be from?

Hi,

This symptoms of stiffness and numbness are a possible side effect of Risperidone. I'd like to know for how long you have been taking this drug and whether you have ever witnessed a similar scenario in the past.

If this is the first time, I will say continue taking the drugs. Should it happen again, I'd recommend you stop it and bring it up with your doctor for review and investigations. We may also need to check the body's calcium levels to make sure all is well.
