default
Posted on Tue, 17 Jan 2017
Question: I woke up this morning with pain in my left hand,(more specifically, the base of my thumb and the pulse point in my wrist, and my left hand was colder than my right). I always sleep on my back with my hands on my chest,or stomach,or penis and testicles; (witch I had gotten damaged; that is, doubled back and pinched between my groin and a tower girder in the Army in 1967),and so, I often feel cold and tingling pain in them at night, and thus; I massage and hold them.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Thanks for the query

It's possible if via have pressed too long in that region and hence the pain. Other possibility is arthritis of the base of the thumb joint.

Do get an Xray of the thumb joint. Get a 2D Doppler study of the vessels in your arm to look for any vascular compression causing the coldness.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
