Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Ribs

I am 28 yrs old, Female. Since last few days I am experiencing some sharp ache at the left side of the rib cage, and sometimes at the lower side. The pain is staying for 2-3 seconds just, but whenever I am experiencing it is too much. What can be the reason for this?

To recapitulate: Female/28 - sharp ache lasting 2-3 seconds on left side of ribs, sometimes lower -
The commonest reason at your age that I can think of is costochondritis that is inflammation of ribs and the muscles nearby.
Of course it is always better to rule out any heart problem as the pain is on left side by EKG/ECG and cardiac check up.
There is local pain and tenderness in costochondritis.
This may be due to flu or stress and/or anxiety.
I would advise you the following:
get local examination by your Doctor as there may be a local tenderness, take appropriate medication rule out cardiac problem as explained above and have one X-ray of the chest to get the proper diagnosis and have proper management.
