Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Foot

default
Posted on Mon, 3 Oct 2016
Question: Recently I have had pretty bad pain in my right foot. I'd describe it as on the side of my foot, not top or bottom. It gets better with rest but after a little walking or standing the pain comes back and makes it difficult to put wait on my right foot without high-moderate pain.I haven't had any trauma to it.

Brief Answer:
Plantar fascitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Based on the site involved I suspect it to be Plantar fascitis. This is a long standing inflammation of fibrous sheathes in the feet. These fibrous sheets are ones which help in stabilizing the foot bone joints. Inflammation of these fibrous sheaths is called fascitis.

The only treatment is rest. Pain killer gels like Dioclofenac gel can help. Providing rest to the feet will help in reducing the inflammation. You can also go for Plantar wrap. This is done by a physiotherapist, do consult one.
