Brief Answer:
seems like Intertrigo with an infectious component.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again
I have seen the attached photo.

I can say that the symptoms are caused by an inflammation of the skin in the tailbone area.

This inflammation can be caused by an injury (if she had a recent tailbone trauma).

Other potential causes are:
- any allergic and irritant contact dermatitis
- candidiasis of the intergluteal area
- Inflammatory dermatoses and infectious conditions of the intergluteal area.

In my opinion, this can be an intertrigo with a secondary infection of the involved sites (Bacterial and mycologic cultures with speciation and sensitivities can aid in the identification of infectious causes).

This is a dermatologic problem and for this reason, my advice for you to consult a dermatologist near you for the physical examination, treatment according to the findings and subsequent follow-up.

Hope this information is helpful.

If you have other questions, feel free to ask.
Thank you for using HealthcareMagic.
Wish her a good health.

Brief Answer:
No,i don't think it is perianal dermatitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I appologise for the late reply.

Allergic dermatitis is the inflammation of the skin caused by an allergy. The symptoms are severe itching and red, streaky rash where the substance touched the skin.

Candidiasis of the intergluteal area is an inflammation of the skin caused by candida(fungal infection of the skin). The symptoms are red skin(rash ) and itching.

Inflammatory dermatoses and infectious conditions of the intergluteal area are bacterial infectios of the intergluteal (buttocks) folds.

Perianal streptococcal dermatitis is a bright red, sharply demarcated rash that is caused by beta-hemolytic streptococci. Symptoms include perianal rash, itching and rectal pain; blood-streaked stools may also be seen. It primarily occurs in children between six months and 10 years of age and is often misdiagnosed.
A rapid streptococcal test of suspicious areas can confirm the diagnosis. Routine skin culture is an alternative diagnostic aid.

I don't think that your daughter's symptoms can be attributed to perianal dermatitis.

If your doughter was my patient i will ask :How old is your daughter and if she had any recent trauma of the gluteal area (caused by her sport activities)?

Regards.
