Question: Hi. I got a swollen eye from a punch. I used fucidine on the skin around the eye. whenever I look around I feel pain in the pupil. It's been 24 hours now. the vision is not clear If I cover my right eye.

Are there any home remedies that I can follow to reduce the black eye? shall I visit a hospital? is it too serious?

Brief Answer:
You should consult a Oftalmologist.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Home remedies to reduce black eye include ice packs during first 48 hours and Paracetamol for the pain.

About your vision problem you should consult a Oftalmologist in order to check for/ rule out any traumatic eye damage.

I don't think it is a extremely serious problem, but a proper medical evaluation is needed.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
