Brief Answer:
pleural effusion

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
welcome to health care magic
i consider that your reference is to AKT4 and not AK4.
AKT4 is generally used for 2 months.it contains 4 drugs. There after it is changed to 2 drug regime containing Isoniazid and rifampicin only. AKT4 should not be continued for 6 months.
she has to take the drug rifampicin before break fast and all other drugs after breakfast keep in mind that the urine colour changes to orange while she's on these drugs.
chest pain is probably due to the involvement of pleura as is commonly seen in patients with fluid in the lungs.
when the full treatment course is completed she might see the response
All the best

Brief Answer:
consult

Detailed Answer:
hi
treatment of tuberculosis depends on the site of involvement. For pleural effusion, AKT4 is used for 2 months and then it is replaced with other drugs for 4 months, if it is category 1 type.
I cannot prescribe the drugs here as they are restricted ones and requires a doctor's signature.
i would suggest you to consult a chest physician to make sure that you are getting correct treatment.
Make sure that she takes the drugs dialy and don't miss even a single dose before your doctor prescribes a new prescription.
All the best.
