Suggest Treatment For Pain In Bruised Ribs While Coughing After A Fall

Question: I had a fall on Sunday fell on my left arm think I brused my ribs hurts when I cough or snezz.I have been taking 4 ibprofen at night for pain. Still hurts but not as bad as first day. Do I need to go to doctor I don't have any insurance till XXXXXXX 1st.What should I do?

You said it hurt when you cough or sneeze, I need to know where it hurts ? Over your arm or chest?

If it is your chest then there is a possibility of Rib fracture . But still no need to worry. Even if it is a rib fracture the treatment is just pain management.

My advise is to continue taking Ibuprofen for few more days and observe. If the pain is increasing then you better consult your doctor but if pain is subsiding then no need.
