Suggest Treatment For Pain And Numbness In Spine After Dexamethasone Injection

Question: I had 20 mg dexamethasone injected in my cervical spine due to pain and numbness after a c6 c7 formanotomy it was on the 2nd of July I had severe chest ( heart pain with the injection and have chest pain just walking up the stairs now, I have variant angina, but had not had to take a nitro in months before this procedure. I am afraid it has affected my heart

The chest pain is separate from cervical pain and bears no relation to inj. Dexamethasone.
You must get your ECG done and go for further evaluation of angina. Because recurrent angina suggests risk of future heart attack.

You should consult a cardiologist at the earliest.

The pain started instantly as the steroid was being injection, and the physician said it will stop in a little while

I have taken 4 intros in three days, had not had to take one in months before the injection

Hello, I agree the pain you felt while dexamethasone was injected could be due to hypersensitivity to incepient. But the pain which is related to exertion must be viewed as angina and I suggest you to get ECG and stress test done if indicated after ECG.
