Brief Answer:
could be reflux disease

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic .

I read your query and understand your concern . The symptoms which you have described most likely goes in favor of reflux disease of oesophagus. In this you will have early fullness and discomfort after having food etc.

If in your family(blood relatives) any other members also have neuroendocrine tumors then this is a familial variety and genetic in nature. In such conditions you are likely to have tumor in other organs also. If you are alone suffering then it is likely single tumor. Usually screening is undertaken if symptoms exist.

I would suggest you to get endoscopy(pipe is passed through mouth). This reflux disease and any hernia can be found. If symptoms exist neuroendocrine tumor of stomach may be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query . If any further queries are there I would love to help.

Brief Answer:
no particular precautions

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

There are no particular precautions taken to prevent tumor. You should consult doctor if you get symptoms like flushing, sweating, diarrhoea, increased heart rate, cough etc and get evaluated. Existence of other organ tumors can be ruled out by pet scan.

If your uncle have pancreatic, parathyroid, thyroid or pituitary cancer then you may be at risk. But since you told he took chemotherapy and radiotherapy that is unlikely a neuroendocrine tumor. So don't worry.

PCOS could be due to stress or it may be seen in pituitary neuroendocrine tumors. With CT scan of head it can be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help .
