Suggest Treatment For Nausea, Acid Reflux, Left Arm And Shoulder Pain

default
Posted on Tue, 6 Apr 2021
Question: I have been having nausea, acid reflux, left arm and shoulder pain, chest and upper back pain. I am 25 female and not overweight or a smoker. No direct family history of heart disease. My cardiologist has done blood work and an ekg and an echo and insists it’s not my heart. But I am feeling worse every day with the same symptoms. Please tell me how I can convince them to test me further?

Please refer to the detailed answer below

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ma’am

After going through your medical details I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that as your basic cardiac evaluation is normal and also considering your young age it’s highly unlikely to have an cardiac issue. There is no need for any cardiac evaluation now.

Your symptoms are suggestive more of acid peptic disorder so it’s advisable to follow these instructions:

1. Avoid spicy, hot and fried food

2. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals

3. Drink lots of water

4. Take proton pump inhibitors like Pentoprazole for 10 days on empty stomach.

Follow these instructions and hopefully your symptoms will be relieved.

Kind Regards

The nausea is constant, from when I wake up to when I go to bed. The back and arm pain will wake me up it gets so bad. Is arm pain a symptom of acid stuff?

Hello Again

Detailed Answer:
Yes in many young patients the acid reflux disorder could presents the same way like a heart disorder. Same is in your case as nothing is suggestive or supporting any underlying cardiac issues.

Just try the above said instructions and hopefully it will be relieved.

Hope to have been helpful.
