Suggest Treatment For Nasal Congestion And Throat Pain
Question: Hello,
Can someone help me with the sinus issue I have. Every year during the season change I have to go through this pain. Can this be cured by a surgery, if yes who can I contact. Its almost 4 daya I slept properly due to blocked nose and the irritation in my throat and pain. I have consulted the doctor and got medicines, but thats like a relief for some point of time. Can someone help me here?

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having sinus issues.
Blocked nose and throat pain suggests post nasal drip secondary to deviated nasal septum.
Yes. it (sinusitis) is curable with medications or sinus surgery. Before getting into tratment, I suggest you to under go blood tests (absolute eosinophilic count, serum IgE- to confirm any allergic rhinitis) and CT scan of para nasal sinuses (anatomical blockage (deviated nasal septum) and pathalogical extenstion (polyp). Depending on the findings, treatment modalities can be chosen.
In the mean time, start steam inhalation twice daily with over the counter xylometazoline (brand name otrivin) nasal drops twice daily.
