Brief Answer:
Progesterone supplement should be added.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Followings are my comments:

Multiple Small Follicles mostly indicate Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD). It is MOST common endocrine disorder among reproductive age group women. It is associated with metabolic dysfunction, irregular late period and impairment of proper ovulation, leads to conceiving problem.

Follow this guideline which helps you to maximize the chance of pregnancy:

a) If her period is quite IRREGULAR, then she needs to take PROGESTERONE supplement from D16 to D25 for at least 6 cycles. Take complete prescription from her doctor.

With REGULAR period, you should involve in unprotected sex WITHOUT any contraceptive method close to her OVULATION day (14 days prior to next due date) or fertile days (12th to 18th day of each 28- 30 days regular cycle) for at least 6 to 12 months.

She can use ovulation prediction kit or LH kit to predict ovulation day in middle of the cycle. It is available in all medical store.

b) Some fertility treatment should be added after undergoing some basic tests and investigations like complete hormone test (LH/FSH, Serum Prolactin, Thyroid profile etc). METFORMIN is widely used along with Ovulation induction drug to induce ovulation.

c) She must take a healthy balanced diet with more fresh fruits and vegetables. Low carbohydrate diet is preferable. Take vitamin-E and Folic acid supplements for 3 months in preconception period and thereafter.

d) Do light to moderate exercise for physical fitness and weight control. Avoid mental stress completely by regular meditation or yoga. Maintain a healthy life style overall.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish her good health and take care yourself.
