Suggest Treatment For Mouth Ulcers Caused After Taking Remeron

Question: Two weeks on remeron and have a mouth ulcer. It says to look out for them in leaflet. Should I be concerned?

I appreciate your concern.

You can try Bonjela gel for the mouth ulcers, bonjela contains keratolytic and mildly antiseptic salicylic acid in the form of its salt choline salicylate and the antiseptic cetalkonium chloride as active ingredients.

An oral B mouthwash will also be helpful.

If the symptoms persist and the ulcer doesnt regress then a course of B complex vitamins and Folic acid can be started.

Most probably the ulcer will resolve and you would not have to stop the remeron for a single ulcer.

If possible please send a good quality picture of the mouth ulcer.
