Hepatomegaly is usually caused by inflammation. There are many causes such as alcohol consumption, medications,toxicity, hereditary conditions, biliary duct malformation or obstruction, viral or bacterial hepatitis, fatty liver, mushroom poisoning, lymph blockage or blood flow obstruction.

Its a normal occurrence in some people who are over weight or have a family history. These changes are not overly concerning.

I would suggest you to meet your family doctor for a few investigations like lipid profile, liver function test.
