Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting your query.
I appreciate your concern for the metallic taste and hearing impairment.

A metallic taste (altered taste sensation) in the mouth is a relatively common side effect of medications like many antibiotics and some antihistamines
This condition is temporary and reversible upon discontinuing the treatment.
Other conditions that can give rise to metallic taste are diseases of the ear, upper respiratory tract infections, inflammation of the sinuses.
It can also arise due to a disorder of the nerves that control taste sensations

The hearing loss in your case is apparently caused by middle ear infection and this could be due to fluid in the middle ear. It can be temporary or permanent.

Untreated chronic ear infections can lead to conductive hearing loss.
If fluid is filling the middle ear, hearing loss can be treated by draining the middle ear and inserting a tympanostomy tube.

The other form of hearing loss is sensorineural hearing loss, hearing loss due to abnormalities of the inner ear or the nerve injury.
This condition can occur at all ages and is usually permanent

In view of the above explanation, had you been my patient I would have recommended a consultation by an ENT surgeon for proper evaluation like otoscopy, tympanometery, and audiometery and subsequently the treatment.

Hope the suggestions given above could be useful to you in getting the proper treatment for your present problems.

Should you need more clarifications, please feel free to send your query.
Wish you a very good health.
