Suggest Treatment For Lump On Knee Cap

default
Posted on Tue, 25 Aug 2015
Question: Hello, I have had a small, movable lump about the size of a BB on my knee cap, with a larger lump on my right side of my knee for two weeks. I can't get into my doctor until August 18. I did stop in at a prompt care facility last week and the PA who saw me said not to worry about it and that it may have been caused by my martial arts work. At any rate, it hasn't grown, or decreased in two weeks. Any pain that I have comes on rare occasions, but it's along the entire leg and into the hip and pelvis area. Should I return to prompt care and have this further investigated?

Brief Answer:
Kindly visit prompt care.

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

I have examined your query and I feel that you might be having these issues as a result of trauma inflicted by your martial arts practice. I feel that for now, you would want to take Advil for this issue. If I were in your place, i would have it promptly investigated. We can feel comfortable when we are on the safe side. You need to see an orthopedician. In all probability the exact treatment to provide relief for you can be ascertained from investigations such as an X ray of the knee joint.

I do not mean to alarm you, and neither will anything sinister occur to you, if you do not visit an orthopedician quickly.

However, I feel that you might want to take care of yourself and visit prompt care at a time and place that is most convenient to you.
