Suggest Treatment For Lump In Groin Area

default
Posted on Fri, 22 Jan 2016
Question: I have a lump in my groin the skin surface in red but not raised. I have had many boils in this area in the past 20 years. And it's starting to have that tingly sore feel to it but nothing for the last 4 days since I became aware of the lump

However this doesn't have the usual spot surface.

I have put some mupirocne 2% ointment on the area above the lump to see if it will draw the puss up.

But is what I discussed ubove sound like a cyst or boil or not

Brief Answer:
There is nothing to be worried about!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have reviewed the attached images and there is no reason to be worried at this time. This doesn’t represent or suggest a boil or cyst. These are simply scars related to past abscesses and you should not be worried about them. I wish you well.
I also wish you a happy and prosperous new year 2016.
