Question: i have a small lump just above anus between cheeks just found yesterday not real painfull but irritating

Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.

To recapitulate:
Male/58 - not visited Doctor or started any treatment yet - have a small lump just above anus between the cheeks - irritating and found yesterday.

The commonest cause s are:
- Boil: as the history is small and has occurred for the first time and for 1 day alone.
- The chance of it being fistula have to be borne in mind and be prepared for. If it is a boil, it may settle very fast and will no have any recurrence.
