Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain While On Tylenol

default
Posted on Fri, 17 Feb 2017
Question: I bent over to the left to put something in the bottom of the refrigerator and I must have pulled something and now my lower back on the right side is sore where the bone is between my back and my behind. Would that be considered a strain. Do you think I hurt myself? I can walk without pain but when I sit my lower back hurts where the bone is. I put biofreeze on it and took a Tylenol. Do you think I will be okay?

Detailed Answer:
Hi I'm Dr Ahmed Aly
Thanks for asking HealthcareMagic ,
I had gone through your question and understand your concerns ..

In my opinion, i think it is a kind of muscular sprain , for my patients, I'd suggest avoiding heavy lifting , vigorous movements , bad sleeping posture and sitting postures.

Yes you can take Tylenol when needed (650mg twice or thrice daily after food should do it ), biofreeze massages , muscle relaxants , spinal straightening exercise will be effective for the first 3 to 5 days .

If pain persists despite all these, i'd suggest getting an X ray done to exclude any kind of bone injuries .

Any further clarifications feel free to ask.

Kind Regards
