Question: Hello

I am 32 year old male with normal health. On July 27 I did something that I shouldn't have done. I stopped my urine flow midstream and then pull back my lower abdomen and anus area, tightened the muscles in those regions. I did it every time I urinated for a whole day. The next day, I came to know from the Internet that doing this could cause UTI infection, so I stopped doing it. But 29th of July, I woke up with pain in right lower back, radiating down to my right leg and shooting pain in my penis.

I drank plenty of water and the next day, the pain lessened. After 2 days, however, it came back, even though the severity was low, and it was sporadic. For last few days, I have been experiencing strange symptoms. The area where the right side of the penis meets groin has a pinching feeling. There's no pain but a sore feeling in my right lower abdomen radiating down to the right side of my penis, occasional ant-bite like feeling in the penis and my right testicle is a bit sore. The middle right abdomen is sore. I can feel the soreness when I bend over. There's occasional pinching pain traveling between lower right abdomen and right lower back. I can sometimes feel a mild pain-like sensation in the fingers of my right leg and in my right butt and under my right foot, all at once.

There's no problem with urinating. No pain during or after urination. But I've noticed I couldn't hold urine for long, which I could earlier. When I am holding it for long, there's a pinching sensation in my middle lower abdomen and on the right side just above the penis, the area of pubic hair.

I did a ultrasound test almost a year ago and kidney, bladder and prostate were all okay. So you can rule out the possibility of kidney or bladder stone. Besides, it's totally sudden. Before 27th July, I was fine. I am pretty sure it has to do with the urine experiment. I need a diagnosis.

What kind of diagnosis do I need? How is transient VU Reflux diagnosed?

What are the treatment options? Can it heal itself over the course of time? What complications can it cause?

2. Please let me know what complications it causes like any damage or injury to kidney, bladder or urethra.

There's no pain but a mild sore feeling. When I am sitting in front of my computer, I can feel slight tingling pain in my right leg. The soreness seems to be deep-rooted and the area where it is present is the right groin and partially the right side of the penis.

Also, before urinating I feel a sore and pinching feeling in the lower end of the abdomen, just above the mid-groin. Is this normal at this stage? Can you give me an idea how long the soreness will last?

As I have been drinking 250ML of water every hour, I am having to urinate frequently. Is it normal for a healthy bladder?

Also I am noticing before and after urinating there's a pressure, soreness and pinching feeling combined that is affecting the penis, the groin and the abdomen (two inches below the navel) and radiating to both legs. After urination, I have a feeling of more urine deposition in the groin area for around 4-5 minutes. Then it slowly goes away, but the penis remains sore and when I touch it, I feel a tingling sensation in my legs.

Is it possible for these symptoms to continue instead of subsiding? Kindly reply

Can it be an infection of the urine, bladder or kidney? I often feel there's urine in my penis when there's not or very little amount. I also have slight pain in right upper back and right lower back.

Is it required to go see a Urologist?

Also, please tell me what kind of test is used to diagnose infection and what are the complications.

I found inflammation of urethra is called urethritis and it is caused by sexually transmitted disease. But I am sexually clean and I can vouch for it. How can inflammation of urethra is possible then?

Is Nitrofuradantin an antibiotic? Does it have any side effect?

Also, can you suggest any anti-inflammatory medicine?

I stopped looking for answer on the Internet because there's not much pain and inflammation now. But for last few days, I've been noticing bubbly urine, especially in the morning and in the night. Is this normal?
