Question: I have been to a clinic...but still have symptoms They did blood work and found my thyroid level low. I have had a CT scan without contrast and no problem there. My blood pressure was 151/86 so they put me on blood pressure meds. The rest of my blood work seems to be fine. My neck and shoulders are tight, I feel jittery off and on, dizzy, very tired , and have no energy. I am taking 125mg of synthroid, 20 mg of Lisinopril in the morning, and Nexium at night.

Brief Answer:
Thyroid

Detailed Answer:
Sorry to learn about your symptoms.

May I know what part of your body was scanned with the CT machine?

I would also like to know if the following blood tests have already been performed:

CBC
CMP
TSH
Free T4
Thyroid auto antibodies (like TPO and Thyroglobulin antibodies)

If your thyroid is inadequately treated then many of your complaints are explained by that. One needs sufficient thyroid hormone in the body for well being.
The antibodies will help ascertain if you truly have a permanently under active thyroid that necessitates treatment with synthroid for life.

125 mcg of synthroid is a reasonable dose but the blood levels give the final indication as to whether the dose is adequate.
