Brief Answer:
it will take 5 to 7 days

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
Most of the times loose motion in newborn are normal. And it may take 5 to 7 days to become normal.
Sometimes there may be viral or bacterial infection.
Lactose intolerance can be treated by giving the baby lactose free milk like you are giving now.
It should be given till the loose motions becomes normal.
Then you can restart giving breast feeding. Till then you can express your milk so that it does not stop coming.
If there is redness around anal area then it goes more in favour of lactose intolerance.
Please upload the report of stool examination so that I can help you better.
You can also give econorm XXXXXXX once a day till there is loose motion.
Hope I helped you.

Brief Answer:
weight will be regained.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the follow up.
Do not worry. Weight will be regained once the loose stools are under control.
The report shows reducing substances in the stool. It means that there is lactose intolerance. Is there any redness around anal region?
But the good thing is that there are no other issues in the report.
You can give probiotic XXXXXXX like econorm once a day [added in the milk] along with zinc drops.
That may help your child recover faster.
Hope I helped you.

No sir I couldn't find any redness ....should I add both probiotic n zinc mixed at a time in milk ...already I stopped feeding my milk from 48hrs sir should I stop till she recover...should I continue all the syrups prescribed by my doctor

Answered by Dr. Omprakash Ashokrao Deshmukh (7 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
what are the syrups

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
Please tell me what are the other syrups prescribed by your doctor.
Probiotics XXXXXXX should be given in milk [isomilk].
But zinc comes as z&d drops [dry syrup which has to be reconstituted with sterile water given along with the drops] which is to be given 5 drops 2 times a day directly with dropper. [So both medicines are to be given separetly].
Yes you need to avoid breast feeding for 2 to 3 days, after that you can restart it.
Hope I helped you.
