Question: Hello Doc, My mother, age 59, has been having bouts of stomach ache followed by loose motion and vomitting (not often) since the last three days. She has had norflaxacin and Diarof (ofloxacin and ornidazole tablet). She has also consulted our family general physician. Her condition has improved slightly, but still feels pain at times and also has motions. Vomitting has reduced. She has been asked to take diarof (once morning and once evening) for tomorrow. I wanted to take a second opinion on her perspcription, and is there a need to get a physical examination done by another doctor. This is as her pain and motions still persist (though reduced). regards, XXXX

Brief Answer: Please follow doctor's advice Detailed Answer: Hi there. I have read the query . Since your mother has been relieved of the symptoms and the doctor has asked to take the medication for another day. You must follow that In case the pain and the motion still persists we might increase the duration of course. Under your doctors guidance take a anti-spasmolytic for the relief of pain. If she still does get not relieved then it will be decided to go for investigations. Till then take care. If you have any query I am there to answer .
